The Dominica government discontinued the state of emergency it had imposed in anticipation of Tropical Storm Beryl after the system degenerated yesterday.
Dominica's government had said it would shut down the water system during the storm's pass as a precautionary measure to lessen possible damage.
Although Beryl has lost strength and is expected to gradually weaken, forecasters said it will produce strong winds and heavy rainfall across the Leeward Islands, the Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico and Hispaniola through Tuesday.
Beryl was the first hurricane to develop in the Atlantic this year.

State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said North Korea called at midday Thursday and offered to meet on Sunday instead. Between 1996 and 2005, some 33 recovery operations were conducted in North Korea which saw 200 sets of remains returned.
The risk from rain and wind was particularly acute for the about 60,000 people with blue tarps on their homes, the aftereffects of Hurricane Maria last September.
"The entire government of Puerto Rico is on alert for the passage of Beryl's remnants, and heavy rain is expected in the local area", Ricardo Rossello, governor of the United States territory, wrote on Facebook yesterday.
Officials said 24,000 customers had already lost power across Puerto Rico and Gov. Ricardo Rossello urged people without sturdy roofs to move in with relatives or go to one of 14 government shelters that have opened. Hurricane Maria destroyed Puerto Rico's electrical grid and caused the deaths of an untold number of people. It also dumped torrential rain in the U.S. Virgin Island of St. Croix, with the National Weather Service warning of high winds and fallen trees and light posts.
Marshall Alexander, with Dominica's Meteorological Service, told The Associated Press that no landslides or widespread flooding have been reported. We'll have to watch this cluster of storms later in the week for regeneration further northward.

The government of Dominica said it would shut down its water system and Puerto Rico's governor warned of likely new power outages. However, the storm lost strength throughout the day Saturday and will continue to weaken as it moves west.
As of Monday afternoon, there were almost 13,000 power outages, a total that included customers who remain without service since Hurricane Maria last September, according to Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority. It was far enough out to sea that no coastal watches or warnings were in effect, even for the closest point of land, Cape Hatteras, North Carolina.
