That will come to no surprise to some Internet sleuths, who combed through federal records, finding no proof of the restaurant officially changing its name.

Many on social media had mixed opinions about the campaign and IHOP ditching IHOb. The return to its true name comes as the pancake chain celebrates its 60th birthday. And, IHOP never took pancakes off the menu.
Heartbroken Twitter users expressed their confusion, but as IHOP said in a tweet, "We just had some burgers to bromote".
Pancakes and burgers coexist in harmony.
