A CNN image released on May 26, 2018, shows where Subtropical Storm Alberto is likely to make landfall on Monday between New Orleans and Destin, Florida, before moving into MS and Alabama by Tuesday.
WIND: Tropical storm conditions will continue within portions of the warning area for the next few hours.
A Storm Surge Watch is in effect for entire the west coast.
Forecasters said Alberto could bring unsafe high water to southern coastal states when it douses an area from MS to western Georgia with up to 12 inches of rain and possible tornadoes.

A lack of capacity in pipelines or in rail cars to ship oil produced in Alberta is also hurting Canada's energy sector. The pipeline would allow Canada to diversify and increase exports to Asia, where it could command a higher price.
In the Baltimore suburb of Ellicott City, a massive storm caused flash flooding on Sunday that swept through its historic Main Street area, local news video showed.
Subtropical Storm Alberto is pictured nearing the Florida Panhandle in this May 27, 2018 NASA handout photo.
Alberto had picked up strength as it headed north through the Gulf of Mexico, bringing with it the warning of life-threatening inundation, said the Miami-based hurricane centre.
"We're not expecting the season to be one of the most active on record", said Gerry Bell, lead hurricane season forecaster with NOAA's Climate Prediction Center.
Between four and eight inches of rain could pummel Florida Panhandle, eastern and central Alabama, and western Georgia. "This is definitely a risky storm", said David Roth, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service's Weather Prediction Center in College Park, Maryland. Storm surge was a bigger threat north of the Tampa Bay area, with flooding possible in and north of Crystal River, the weather service said. A more destructive storm could develop over the next 48 hours.
Photos, Videos Show Ellicott City Flooding
As the flooding subsided, Governor Larry Hogan toured the area and promised "every bit of assistance we possibly can". Ellicott City has been methodically rebuilding since the 2016 flooding damaged and destroyed businesses.
The areas along Interstate 55 are expected to be hit the hardest with rain, according to the weather service.
Forecasters said Alberto was just west of Cuba Saturday night and was expected to move north-northwest into the Gulf of Mexico, approaching the northern Gulf coast by Monday. So, as Alberto moves inland and begins to weaken, don't assume the event is over.
Middle Tennessee remains under a Flash Flood Watch.
After Alberto is long gone, we still hang on to rain and thunderstorm chances through the end of the week, but chances will be in the scattered category instead of the likely rain we'll see to start the week.
