The efforts have been realized as the performance of Chinese brands in MEA, Europe and the rest of the Asian markets has been strong. The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ helped the company to revive its market share in the global smartphone market, while the A series and J series continued to drive most of the key volume in both developed and emerging markets as per the report. Its market share moved from 14.4% in the quarter previous year to 15.1% in the first quarter of 2018. The saturation in China's smartphone market has put a pressure on Chinese makers to invest and expand beyond their home ground.
