U.S. Rep. David Cicilline, D-R.I., issued a warning Monday night that if President Donald Trump fires special counsel Robert Mueller or impedes his investigation he would consider it obstruction of justice.
The raid suggests Mueller may have documents that call into question the credibility of Trump and Cohen, even if the materials have nothing to do with Russian meddling, said Jeffrey Cohen, a NY family law attorney who's not involved in the case and isn't related to Michael Cohen.
"It's a total witch hunt, I've been saying it for a long time", Trump said of the latter. The Times reported that Trump's lawyer, Michael Cohen, personally solicited the payment from Ukrainian billionaire Victor Pinchuk. "Well, I think it's a disgrace what's going on".
On Syria, Mr. Trump said, "We're going to make a decision tonight, and you'll be hearing the decision", though probably "after the fact", He also suggested that we can't let atrocities like chemical attacks happen - "because of the power of our country we're able to stop that", he said. "Again, they found nothing and in finding nothing, that's a big statement".
Trump blasted the Mueller team as "the most conflicted group of people I've ever seen", labeling a lot of them as Democrats and saying the few Republicans had worked for President Barack Obama.
Agents are believed to be looking into a $130,000 payment that attorney Michael Cohen allegedly made just before the election to porn star Stormy Daniels.
"Mueller's witch hunt investigation is now a runaway train that is clearly careening off the tracks", Hannity said during his opening monologue.
"If [the president] is thinking of using the Federal Bureau of Investigation raid to fire Special Counsel Mueller or otherwise interfere with the chain of command in the Russian Federation probe, we Democrats have one simple message for him: don't", Schumer wrote.

As for today's raid on Cohen's office, it is "a whole new level of unfairness".
A source close to the White House told Fox News' John Roberts that the raid showed that the Mueller investigation "is out of control" and was a "demonstration of bad faith" on the part of the special counsel. The investigation, Mr. Trump went on to say, is "an attack on what we all stand for".
Trump's exchange on firing Mueller came afterward. The totally unnecessary and Gestapo-like raid on Trump's private attorney's office has put Mueller on a tee.
Mueller reports to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who appointed the special counsel past year after the recusal of Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Trump's firing of former FBI Director James Comey. Investigators also seized a computer, phone, personal financial records, and attorney-client communications. They're not looking at the other side - Hillary Clinton ...
Cohen, a longtime lawyer for the Trump Organization, paid $130,000 to Stephanie Clifford, an adult film actress known as Stormy Daniels.
There have been few signs that Mueller was interested in investigating the payment, though.
"This is about humanity, we're talking about humanity, and it can't be allowed to happen", he said in the earlier meeting with his Cabinet.
