Much like his on-screen persona, John Goodman, who reprises his role as Dan Conner, wanted to stay out of the fray. "I think the voice of working people is absent from television and I think we always had that and we have it again and there's nothing on television like it. People think it's in the beginning of the show, but the truth is it's in the garage scene".
"It's how we deal with it. It was just all still alive and we just pushed the button and it happened", Barr said.
