A dog that was accidentally sent to Japan instead of Kansas City, Missouri, on a United Airlines flight is back home.
Fellow passenger Maggie Gremminger said that "The flight attendant was asking her to move it, continuing that request even though the passenger was mentioning it was a dog", and that they heard barking when the plane took off. "They didn't know [where Irgo was] until 2:30am on Wednesday when the plane landed in Japan".

The incident was United's third dog-related mishap just this week; fortunately this time, it led to a happier conclusion than the first.
Following this recent death, United introduced a new in-cabin policy stating animals will not be stored in overhead compartments, and will issue special luggage tags to customers that are travelling on board with pets. "United Airlines does not care about the safety of their furry travellers".
"The law doesn't treat them as family members, even though many people see them that way", said Berry.
