Netflix shares surged to an all-time high following the news that Barack Obama and Netflix reportedly are negotiating a deal for the former president and his wife, Michelle, to produce shows exclusively for the streaming service. Neither the format nor the number of shows has been decided.
In something of a modern twist on the fireside chats made popular by FDR in the 1930s and 1940s, it's starting to look like former President Barack Obama will soon have his own show on Netflix.
Netflix has about 118 million subscribers globally.
