Troubled former 49ers and Raiders lineman Aldon Smith is being sought by San Francisco police after they said Sunday that he "fled the scene" where officers had responded to a domestic-violence complaint. Since joining the Raiders, the Kansas City, Missouri native has been detained and investigated by police four more times.
According to reporter Ted Ramey, Smith was involved in a domestic-violence incident and also fled the scene. "Aldon called my parents and asked them to take him to rehab", the fiance told tmz.com. During the 2014 season, he missed nine games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. The 28-year-old's application to the National Football League commissioner for reinstatement was initially denied in 2016 and is still pending.
