Our Monday will feature partly cloudy skies with highs in the lower 60s by the afternoon hours. Low temperatures may fall into the lower 40s. Saturday and Sunday will be sunny and pleasant with highs near 70 degrees each day. Cooler temperatures around 40 are likely by sunrise.
There could still be some lingering areas of rain or lighter showers through the early evening before we clear out overnight as Northwest breezes pick up behind the departing front. However, a few clouds will be on the return and there is a slight chance for some showers in the afternoon.

The early rain will help with the pollen levels Monday, but Tuesday the pollen count will jump back up.

According to Erica Robbie of The Aspen News Dan Fegan was traveling in his SUV when it was hit by a bus on Highway 82 in Colorado. Last year, Fegan became embroiled in a messy split with his agency, Independent Sports & Entertainment, which fired him.
Dry and cooler air filtering in Tuesday morning has left North Carolina in a much cooler air mass than we've seen for the past several days, with many waking up to temperatures that haven't been this cool since early February. Wednesday should be a nice day to get outside. However, a warm front will be approaching from the south on Wednesday. There is a good chance for rain at least Thursday and Friday. They will start out in the upper 60s, then will be in the mid 70s by Friday.
