Here's what he's referring to: Fox News reported on Wednesday that Federal Bureau of Investigation agent Lisa Page told her lover Peter Strzok, also an Federal Bureau of Investigation agent, in a September 2016 text message that Obama wanted "to know everything we're doing".
Other text messages in the Senate report, some of which have been previously released, show Strzok and Page expressing strongly negative opinions about Donald Trump and the prospect he'd become president. He was also, briefly, a member of special counsel Robert Mueller's team investigating ties between Russian Federation and Donald Trump's presidential campaign.
While the Senate staff report said it assumes that such a briefing might have been about the investigation into Democrat Clinton's use of a private email server when she was secretary of state, that's not clear from the text.
In a September 2, 2016, text exchange, Page writes that "potus wants to know everything we're doing".
Ron Johnson, the chairman of the committee, also released an interim report on the panel's investigation into the FBI's handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation. "Now I need to fix it and finish it".
"On July 1, 2016, following Attorney General Lynch's announcement that she would follow the FBI's recommendation in the Clinton investigation, Page wrote, 'it's a real profile in couragw [sic], since she knows no charges will be brought" against Secretary Clinton.
In August 2016, for example, Strzok texted, "I'm anxious about what happens if HRC is elected".

He added that Strzok and Page also resented Trump's supporters and the "ignorant hillbillys [sic]" who voted against then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe's wife for a state Senate seat. "Sending team up tomorrow to review. this will never end", Strzok told Page on September 28, 2016.Читайте также: Frasier actor John Mahoney dies at 77
That text came from Strzok to Page on November 4, 2015, the day after Jill McCabe lost a hotly contested Virginia state Senate election.
The texts have raised questions about Mr. Strzok's independence on both cases.
"I did get a chuckle out of D's gotta pee joke.", Strzok said.
Who are Peter Strzok and Lisa Page?
Comey, McCabe and Rybicki have been in the cross hairs of the congressional investigations into both the Clinton investigation as well as the FBI's handling of the Russian Federation investigation.
The messages were among thousands of text messages first obtained by the Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General, and are now in the hands of Congress. "Please don't ever text me again", she wrote.
Over the course of their two-year extramarital affair, Strzok and Page exchanged some 50,000 text messages.
Many of them discuss office issues, but also show the two making disparaging comments about Trump before and after the election.
Nevertheless, Fox News gave the dubious allegation that Obama had an improper role in the investigation a lot of play.При любом использовании материалов сайта и дочерних проектов, гиперссылка на обязательна.
