The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has Syed Shahid Yusuf in custody, the son of Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin.
It was reported that 42-year-old Shahid Yousuf was charged by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) for "receiving and collecting funds through worldwide wire money transfer" from Saudi Arabia based Aizaz Ahmad Bhat.
Before his arrest, Yosuf, 42, was questioned by the NIA after his name cropped up during investigations.

Yusuf's arrest is the latest attack as part of the NIA's intense crackdown against Kashmir's business and political leaders.
Sources say Yousuf accepted money transferred through Western Union by Aijaz, who is on the run, and investigators have documents from Saudi Arabia and India confirming the transfers.

Shahid Yousuf is a resident of Soibugh area of Budgam Shahid and works in the horticulture department. The other two namely Mohammad Maqbool Pandit and Aijaz Ahmad Bhat are still absconding. In the charge sheet filed, NIA also alleged that the terror funding was being done through hawala channels by the terrorists in J&K from Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. A red corner notice has been issued against both of them. Former Intelligence Bureau Director Dineshwar Sharma was named as its representative for the talks with all stakeholders in the State.
"A fake story has been made to arrest my son", Hizbul Mujahideen spokesman Saleem Hashmi quoted Salahuddin as saying, reported Kashmir News Service (KNS). Salahuddin, the founder of United Jihad Council, was declared as specially designated global terrorist by the United States earlier this year.
NIA invigorated the investigation recently, even though the case is under trial in a city court.
